VISAKHAPATNAM:  MLC Varudu Kalyani said the TD leaders should apologise to Andhra Pradesh's former chief minister late N.T. Rama Rao by passing a resolution at the Mahanadu.

“TD leaders should apologise for not fulfilling their manifesto and betraying the people during their 2014-2019 term,’’ she said.

Among others, Kalyani said TD should apologise for failing to waive of Rs 87,000 crore worth of farmers’ loans and cheating 80 lakh DWCRA members for not waiving their loans worth Rs 14,000 crore.

Similarly, Chandrababu Naidu should apologise for running away from Hyderabad fearing arrest in the cash-for-vote scam though the state could have used Hyderabad as capital for 10 more years and accepted a special package instead of special category status.

She said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had alleged that Chandrababu Naidu used Polavaram funds as his ATM and for this also he should apologise to the people.

Terming Mahanadu as ‘Maha Natula Nadu’, the MLC said that N.T. Rama Rao called Chandrababu Naidu ‘Maha Natudu’.

The MLC said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy won the hearts of thousands of women by distributing house pattas at the Amaravati meeting on Friday. Overall 31 lakh women the pattas during the last four years, she added.

“With the distribution of pattas, Amaravati became an adda of Jagan Mohan Reddy and TD has been wiped out from that region,’’ she claimed.
