Congress leaders lodge complaint against labour minister Malla Reddy

When a leader of the opposition makes allegations against govt, as a minister it is his duty to give a response in a parliamentary manner

Karimnagar:  The Karimnagar City Congress on Thursday lodged a complaint with the Two Town police against labour minister Ch. Malla Reddy for making allegedly derogatory comments against state Congress president A. Revanth Reddy.

Speaking after filing the complaint, Narendar Reddy said Malla Reddy was deeply affected by the enormous response from the public to the 48-hour deeksha of Revanth Reddy recenty, and was making making “senseless comments.”

“When a leader of the opposition makes allegations against the government, as a responsible minister it is his duty to give a response in a parliamentary manner. Instead Malla Reddy is behaving like a street rowdy. By using filthy language he is trying to malign the image of the opposition leader,” Narender Reddy said.

He said people were hating Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for making “an uneducated person” a minister.  Running a university and being chairman to many colleges, does Malla Reddy train students to become rowdies, the Congress leader asked.

He said if Malla Reddy did not withdraw his comments on Revanth Reddy and apologise, the Congress will not allow him to move in his constituency, Narender Reddy said. Malla Reddy does not have any right to continue as minister and as MLA. he said.

Congress leaders Dr Anjan Kumar, Samad Nawab, Uppari Ravi, Tajuddin, Shravan Naik, Srinivas Reddy, Pochaiah, Sayed Akhil, Ravinder, Narsaiah, Sandeep, Manjula, Arun Kumar, Vilas Reddy, Layeeq, Syed Khamaruddin, Satyanarayana Reddy, Azra, Ram Reddy, Nihal Ahmed, Shekar and Satish were among those who were present along with others.
