BRS leaders short-list two places for meeting in Nanded on Feb 5

Adilabad: Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) on Friday short-listed two places for a BRS meeting in Nanded, Maharashtra, on Feb 5 after confabulations since Jan 24.

Telangana civil supplies corporation chairman Sardar Ravinder Singh was in Nanded along with other leaders to finalise the venue for the meet. He told Deccan chronicle that one of the two grounds belonged to the local Gurudwara and the other was a college ground. A final decision on the venue would soon be taken.

He said they have dropped the idea of holding the meeting at a function hall as larger numbers of people could be accommodated on a vast ground.  The local police also did not favour a compact functional hall. Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be the chief guest.

Some local leaders would be joining the new ‘national party’ of KCR and the meeting is planned as a “joining” meeting for the BRS. There are a sizeable number of Telugu-speaking people in the region, mainly in five assembly segments.

Several BRS leaders from TS would be attending the meeting after darshan and prayers at the Guru Gobind Singh Gurudwara.

BRS MLAs Jogu Ramanna, Sardar Ravinder Singh, Balka Suman and Jeevan Reddy were involved in the preparations for the meet. Jogu Ramanna, Godam Nagesh, and Ravinder Singh visited the Gurudwara and had darshan on Friday.
