BJP will win 80 MLA seats in TS: Tarun Chugh

Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary and Telangana state in-charge Tarun Chugh said the BJP would win 80 MLA seats in Telangana, whenever the elections were conducted. Around 25 key leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and the Congress are in touch with the BJP, he said. The BJP was ready to show its strength in the elections, he added.

He was taking part in the BJP state office bearers meetings here on Friday. BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar presided over the meeting.

Speaking to reporters, Tarun Chugh said that the Congress party was wiped out from Telangana state and the BJP emerged as a strong political force. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would not get at least 60 MLA candidates for next elections, he said.

The BJP national leader said K. Chandrasekhar Rao had experienced a lesson during his recent Delhi tour. A section of farmers opposed the farm laws and if it was implemented, a large number of farmers would have benefitted, Tarun Chugh opined. Meanwhile, BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar interacted with the state office bearers.

BJLP leader Raja Singh, party national vice president D. K. Aruna, OBC morcha national president K. Lakshman, Tamil Nadu in-charge P. Sudhakar Reddy, national executive member Vijayashanthi, G. Vivek, Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao and others were present. Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, MLAs Raghunandan Rao and Etala Rajender and other senior leaders will participate in the meeting on Saturday.
