Thiruvananthapuram: Mr V.S. Achuthanandan was the cynosure of all eyes at the swearing-in ceremony of the LDF cabinet headed by Mr Pinarayi Vijayan at the central stadium here on Wednesday.

He sat along with other leaders on the front row and watched the proceedings spiking speculations that he would boycott the ceremony in protest against denying him the top post.

Earlier in the day, all the designated ministers had reached Cantonment  House to see Mr Achuthanandan  and seek his blessings. Mr G. Sudhakaran, who had shifted his loyalty to Mr Pinarayi Vijayan during the cold war between the two, touched his feet, but VS did  not mind him. Later, he sat opposite to him and had a chat with him for a while.
