Telangana Telugu Desam not to contest Lok Sabha elections

Hyderabad: The Telangana Telugu Desam on Monday announced that it has taken a decision to stay away from Lok Sabha elections in the state. Telangana state TD president L. Ramana, in a press note on Monday, said that the decision was taken after discussing with party leaders and workers at all levels.

Mr Ramana called on the party cadre to work against the TRS and the BJP in the elections. He alleged that the TRS government in the state and the BJP government at the Centre were acting against the Constitution and encouraging defections. He also appealed to the the democratic forces to fight against both the parties.
