Several Prominent Parties Leader Condemned Punganur Attacks

Visakhapatnam: TD and BJP leaders on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent attack on five Telugu Desam workers when they took out a protest march from Naruva village in Ranasthalam mandal of Srikakulam to Punganur.

Former minister and Visakhapatnam North MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao protested that ruling YSRC activists are attacking their party workers without any provocation.

He pointed out that while YSRC leadership is showing concern for backwardness of north Andhra, its cadres have no respect for people in the region.

Srinivasa Rao regretted that TD activists were disrobed and abused by followers of Peddiredy Ramachandra Reddy for taking out the peace march in Punganur, protesting against the arrest of TD chief N. Chandraabu Naidu.

State BJP vice president P. Vishnu Kumar Raju said YSRC goons will be taught a lesson once BJP and TD form the next government in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to reporters in Visakhapatnam, Vishnu Kumar Raju said the State Human Rights Commission should register a suo moto case into the incident.

“This Dasara is the last for ruling YSRC government. The party is going to lose its deposits in the next elections,” he remarked.
