Buggana heaps praises on Jagan Mohan Reddy, visits hometown

KURNOOL: Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath said despite the state undergoing huge financial stress, the Chief Minister had not forgotten his promises to farmers. Standing rock solid on the back of the farming community, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had ushered in happiness to the families of farmers in the state, he said. 

Participating in a series of programmes in his hometown Bethamcherla, the minister said an amount of Rs 279.84 crore would be directly transferred to the accounts of farmers under Dr. YSR Rythu Bharosa, the second instalment of which would benefit 5,07,164 families in the district.

Under Rythu Bharosa second phase, 5,07,164 farmers in Kurnool will get Rs 279.84 crore. Farming activities were celebrated as festivals in the state under Jagan, he said.

Eulogising the Chief Minister for his steadfastness in relying on his word given to farmers during his Padayatra in 2018, the finance minister said Kurnool farmers would get this benefit on October 26.

Komma Konnamma, a resident of Talamudipi village in Midthur mandal, said she owned a 2-acre land and sowed Bengal gram. She said her woes had been mitigated by the Rs 13,500 assistance provided by Jagan during kharif and rabi seasons. She said Jagan had elevated the scope of farmers to a higher pedestal.
Moulali, of Vengalaraopet village in Bandi Atmakur Mandal, said he had been cultivating paddy in his 4.75 acres of land. The investment assistance provided by the Chief Minister came as a great relief during the Corona pandemic crisis. “We are lucky to have a Chief Minister like Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he said.

G. Adinarayana of Bukkapuram village in Mahanandi mandal was all praise for the Chief Minister as Rythu Bharosa farm investment assistance was a boon to cultivators. “Today I was told by the agriculture assistant that I will get Bharosa money on Tuesday. It was such fantastic news as far as I am concerned,” he averred.
