ADILABAD: TPCC general secretary Gandrath Sujatha on Wednesday launched ‘Gadapa Gadapaku Congress’ programme from Chanda (T) village in Adilabad mandal.

She embarked on the public outreach programme by performing special prayers at the Ramalayam temple here. Later, she, along with party leaders and cadre took out a huge procession in the village. The Congress leader will cover all the villages in Adilabad, Adilabad Rural, Jainad and Bela mandals of Adilabad Assembly constituency in a phased manner including Adilabad municipality in the run-up to the Assembly elections.

During the door-to-door campaign with the cadre, Sujatha distributed pamphlets explaining to the people the promises made to farmers and unemployed youth during the party declarations at the Warangal and Saroornagar rallies.

Raising failures in development and welfare in the last nine years, she said both the BJP and BRS governments betrayed unemployed youth and farmers with their false promises.

Appealing to the people to vote Congress to power, she alleged that local MLA Jogu Ramanna in the constituency and KCR’s family at the state level only got benefits in the last nine years.

Youth Congress district president Charan Goud, former MPTCs Pochanna and Venkat, Youth Congress leaders Mallaiah and Rupesh, INTUC leader Munigle Narsingh, senior leader Venkat Reddy and others were present.
