BJP to move enforcement authorities

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP state leadership on Wednesday said that it would submit a complaint to the enforcement directorate against CPM state secretary  Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son Binoy's  alleged financial fraud in Dubai.

State  BJP president Kummanam Rajasekharan asked Binoy to surrender to avoid arrest by the Interpol.  He also asked Mr Kodiyeri Balakrishnan to own up responsibility for his son's fraud and quit public life.

He said the BJP would demand a probe by the enforcement directorate considering the seriousness of the allegations.

The  BJP national leadership demanded the resignation of Mr Kodiyeri Balakrishnan from the CPM leadership in the wake of the grave allegations.

"Kodiyeri's son has brought shame to Kerala," said BJP national spokesman G.V.L. Narasimha Rao. He asked CPM general secretary  Sitaram Yechury and Mr Kodiyeri Balakrishnan to respond to  the issue .

"CPM has misused power. Binoy should immediately surrender before  the law authorities in Dubai to avoid further legal issues," he said.
