Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy alleged that BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had embezzled Rs.1 lakh crore and grabbed 10,000 acres of land.

Continuing his attack on the BRS at  road shows here, Revanth Reddy said that  during the 2018 Assembly elections campaign, when he contested from Kodangal, scores of police personnel had barged into his house at midnight and had arrested him and his cadre.

He said that despite his defeat in Kodangal, he came back stronger and thanked the people for electing him as Lok Sabha member from Malkajgiri.

Earlier, speaking at another road show in Musheerabad in pouring rain, the TPCC chief said that ‘Varuna Devudu’ had blessed the Congress. The audience, which was completely drenched, just like Revanth Reddy, shouted the slogan of ‘CM, CM’.

Revanth Reddy asked them to wait till December 9.

Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad had been developed from 2004 to 2014 during the Congress regime and mentioned the contribution of then Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

“During that time, Hyderabad shaped up into a global city and was recognised internationally,” said Revanth Reddy. He said that the Outer Ring Road (ORR), Hitec City, international airport, IT companies, and pharma companies came to Hyderabad during that period.

Seeking votes for the Congress, he said that if Chandrashekar Rao was voted out, gas cylinder costing Rs.1,500 would be supplied at '500 the poor and, in addition to free power in the villages for farming, the urban poor will also be provided with free electricity.

At LB Nagar, Congress leaders retaliated to BRS election campaign song by playing  the Congress version of ‘Dekh Lenge.” CPI members were also present during the LB Nagar road show.

Revanth Reddy alleged that LB Nagar MLA and BRS candidate D. Sudheer Reddy was corrupt and had cheated the Congress by defecting to the ruling party and should be voted out.
