Vishakhapatnam: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari on Saturday reiterated that it is not fair to blame BJP for everything, including the arrest of former chief minister and Telugu Desam supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking as chief guest at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations organised at the BJP office in Visakhapatnam, she pointed out that the AP CID had filed a case in the skill development scam in 2018. The state CID investigated the case and arrested Naidu.

“It is a matter related to AP state. The Centre has no role in it. It is not fair to blame the BJP,” Purandeswari remarked.

She stated that she would complain to Home Minister Amit Shah regarding irregularities in sales of liquor in Andhra Pradesh. “I will complain directly to the union home ministry on the liquor sales and other illegalities. I will request the central home minister to send a committee to AP state to investigate the irregularities,” she remarked.

On Jana Sena and TD coalition, the BJP state president said “JS chief Pawan Kalyan has told our party that it would be good if TDP and BJP come together. Ours is not a regional but a national party. Decisions are taken at the national level by national leaders.”

She underlined that many governments have talked about the Women's Bill. But only the Modi government has made it possible.
