Hyderabad: Telangana Congress MLA G. Chinna Reddy alleged that TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao skipped the oath-taking ceremony of JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy as Karnataka Chief Minister to avoid showing his face to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and AICC president Rahul Gandhim who granted statehood to Telangana.

Mr Chinna Reddy said when Mr Rao had an invitation to attend the oath-taking ceremony, he went to Bengaluru a day earlier and met Mr Kumaraswamy.

He said that Mr Kumaraswamy had formed government with the support of the Congress. He alleged that Mr Rao had become a puppet at the hands of BJP. Mr Chinna Reddy alleged that Mr Rao had become Chief Minister only due to Mrs Sonia Gandhi. He said that Mr Rao was trying to vanquish the Congress which had given Telangana statehood.
