Disqualify all defectors: CLP

Mr Vikramarka told the Speaker earlier that they had given a disqualification petition on six Congress MLAs and this was pending with the Speaker.

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with former minister Shab-bir Ali and former MLA Anil Kumar met Assem-bly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy on Tue-sday and submitted a disqualification petition on four defected Congress MLAs, reques-ting the Speaker to disqualify them.

Mr Vikramarka went all the way to Banswada to meet the Speaker. In the petition, Mr Vikra-marka said MLAs Haripriya Nayak, Chiruma-rthi Lingaiah, K. Upen-dar Reddy and J. Surendar should be disqualified for defecting.

Mr Vikramarka told the Speaker earlier that they had given a disqualification petition on six Congress MLAs and this was pending with the Speaker.

He told the Speaker that the all defecting Congress MLAs should be disqualified before considering the letter on merger of defected MLAs in the TRS legislature party.

Later speaking to the media at Banswada and Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Vikramarka criticised Chief Minister K. Chan-drasekhar Rao for acting like a political terrorist and encouraging political terrorism in the state.

He alleged that the CM was murdering democracy. He demanded that the Speaker disqualify all defecting Congress MLAs. He alleged that the CM was attracting Congress MLAs on a quid pro quo basis.

He said that he will start a yatra from Pinapaka in Khammam district to save democracy. He said they will approach Lok Pal and other institutions on this issue.
