Shettar files papers from Hubballi-Dharwad for sixth time
Dharwad city came to a grinding halt following the show of strength by district in-charge Minister Vinay Kulkarni on Monday.
Hubballi: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar filed his nomination from Hubballi-Dharwad central constituency on Monday and reached the returning officer’s office with his supporters, well wishers and family members in a procession.
Shettar is contesting the election from the constituency for a record sixth time and expressed confidence that he would win the election with a bigger margin.
“Opposition candidates have no issues to fight against me. I have been elected from this constituency for the last 25 years because of the love and affection of voters. They know what I have done for them, I have confidence that they will elect me once again”.

Vinay who is contesting as a Congress candidate from? Dharwad, took out a massive procession through the main streets of the city before reaching the assistant commissioner’s office to file his nomination papers.
