Kakinada: Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh has said Telugu Desam and Jana Sena parties are aiming at abolishing all the welfare schemes the YSRC government implemented for the people in 2019.

Ramesh urged the people to elect YSRC candidate Thota Trimurthulu from the Mandapeta constituency. “The constituency has been developed by the state government largely in the past four years even though the constituency is represented by Telugu Desam,” he stated.

Participating in the YSRC BC Samajika Sadhikaratha Bus Yatra at Mandapeta on Friday evening, Ramesh said the coming elections would be a fight between the poor and the feudalists.

“Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan is mortgaging the interests of Kapus to Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu,” he said and urged the people, in particular Kapus, not to vote for the Telugu Desam and its alliance parties.

“Vangaveeti Ranga was murdered when TD was in power. If TD and Jana Sena come to power, they will abolish all welfare schemes. Chandrababu Naidu will ignore his promises to the people again, as he had done in the past,” he cautioned the people.

The minister said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has fulfilled 98 per cent of his promises by now. “Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan are residing in Hyderabad and they are trying to rule AP from there. Chandrababu Naidu can't give any surety on the future of the state as his future itself is facing uncertainty at present.”

YSRC leader Jupudi Prabhakara Rao said Jagan Reddy has given preference to 72 per cent of reservations to BCs and 52 per cent to women while making appointments to top posts. Jagan Reddy provided opportunities to poor students to study in English Medium, he said.

Rajya Sabha Member Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose said Chandrababu Naidu borrowed crores of money for AP, but he could not develop the state. But Jagan is developing the state and helping the disadvantaged sections of society through his welfare schemes.

MLCs Thota Trimurthulu, Kudipudi Suryanarayana, Amalapuram MP Chinta Anuradha, and others were present.
