Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s announcement of candidates for the 115 seats would not make any difference, said Congress leader Jupally Krishna Rao.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday Krishna said said, “How is it of any use to the people? Further, it only exposed the infighting of the party. How did BRS leaders like T. Harish Rao amass so much wealth? Mynampally Hanumantha Rao clearly exposed BRS leaders.”

On the Chief Minister being allotted two seats, Krishan Rao said, “Chandrashekar Rao fears defeat in Gajwel.”

Asserting that he is not someone to accept defeat he reiterated that he will contest from the Kollapur Assembly constituency. “The Congress gave Telangana state despite knowing the political risk it would face in AP. KCR waived farm loans by selling the ORR (outer ring road), advancing liquor tenders and selling lands. He has left a surplus budget state in debt,” he said.

On comments by Harish Rao that outdated leaders were gotten rid of by the BRS, Krishna Rao said, “The BRS did not have any leaders to start with. I lost due to various reasons. The Palamuru Ranga Reddy project was neglected though it was started much earlier than Kaleshwaram. Why was it delayed?” he asked.

The farm loan waiver that was done by the BRS now would suffice only to pay the interest which has accrued on it in the last four years. Land mafia is having a free run in the state. Before releasing his new manifesto on August 16, the Chief Minister should say what has happened to the promises that were made to people previously. “KCR family will be taught a lesson,” he added.
