Badami: Will it be B Sriramulu against CM Siddaramaiah?

The BJP is mulling fielding Mr Sriramulu from Badami to wean away the votes of the Valmiki community to which he belongs.

Insiders claimed that though Mr Sriramulu did not come out in the open, he organized the event through his associates since Muslim voters play a crucial role Ballari (ST) segment.

Ballari: There is no official confirmation from the BJP yet but with speculative reports doing the rounds that he may be the chosen one to take on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Badami, Ballari BJP MP B Sriramulu, said he is ready for the challenge.

Speaking to reporters at Gadag on Sunday, the state BJP vice-president took a swipe at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah saying, “As a CM for a full five-year term, if he is not confident of winning from his home constituency, Chamundeshwari, how can he expect the Congress to win more seats and come to power?” 
The BJP is  mulling fielding Mr Sriramulu from Badami  to wean away the votes of the Valmiki community to which he belongs, and the Lingayat-Veerashaiva community.
