YSRC social justice yatra starts in Ichchapuram on October 26

Visakhapatnam: Ruling YSRC’s social justice bus yatra, which will explain to people welfare schemes introduced by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during the past four and a half years, will start from Ichchapuram on Thursday, October 26. The yatra will end at Anakapalli on November 9, said YSRC north Andhra regional coordinator Y.V. Subba Reddy.

As per details he released to media on Sunday, the social justice yatra will move on from Ichchapuram to Gajapathinagaram of Vizianagaram district on October 27, Bheemili on October 28, Paderu on October 30, Parvathipuram on November 1, Madugula on November 2, Palasa on November 3, S. Kota on November 4, Gajuwaka on November 6, Amudalavalas on November 7, Saluru on November 8 and Anakapalli on November 9.

North Andhra ministers, apart from the ruling party’s regional coordinators, will participate in the yatra.

Subba Reddy said public meetings will be held in every constituency from 3 pm to 5 pm. “We will explain to people the welfare and development measures taken up by the YSRC government during its four-and-a-half-year rule,” he stated.

Addressing a press conference in Vizag on Sunday, state education minister Botsa Satyanarayana reiterated ruling YSRC’s commitment to ban alcohol in a phased manner. “It is ridiculous that opposition parties are raising their voice over the increasing price of alcohol. We have increased the prices, so that poor will stay away from consuming it,” he maintained.

Botsa clarified that he would not say a single word as the CM himself has stated that he would shift to Visakhapatnam in December. He pointed out that the AP government has already appealed to BJP-led central government for Visakha railway zone. “We have received no response yet. We are hoping that BJP state president Purandeswari will take up the issue with the centre,” he stated.

Deputy Chief Minister Budi Mutyala Naidu, industries minister Gudivada Amarnath, Vikaranam Dharmashree, district president Kola Gurulu, MLAs Dharmana Krishna Das and K. Bhagyalakshmi, Anakapalli MP B. Satyavathi, Bellana Chandrasekhar, district parishad chairperson J. Subhadra and coordinator Adari were present.
