Why Not 175 bike rally' in Vijayawada on August 23
VIJAYAWADA: The YSRC is organising a bike rally here on Wednesday, August 23, with the ‘Why Not 175’ slogan.
Former minister and Vijayawada West MLA Velampalli Srinivas, AP Planning Board vice-chairman and central MLA Malladi Vishnu and East constituency incharge Devineni Avinash said the welfare schemes implemented by the state government are reaching the beneficiaries' doorsteps.
The ruling party leaders held a press conference on Monday to brief the various development programmes here in the four years of the YSRC rule.
MLA Vishnu said, “We will take out a bike rally on August 23 with the slogan ‘Why Not 175’ from Ratham Centre. YSRC leaders, cadres from all the three constituencies would attend the rally. A poster was unveiled on the occasion.
MLA Srinivas suggested that Telugu Desam senior leader Umamaheswara Rao should control his tongue, and challenged Nara Lokesh to contest from Vijayawada West constituency. He said Rao looted crores as irrigation minister.
“Everyone knows the life history of TD leaders Bonda Uma, Buddha Venkanna, Nagul Meera etc.
Avinash said that while Lokesh was passing through NTR Circle in Vijayawada East constituency, he did not garland the statue of NT Rama Rao and the same scene was repeated in Poranki Centre.
