Bengaluru: A month after he was sworn in as CM of a JD(S)-Congress coalition on May 23, Mr H.D. Kumaraswamy will chair the first meeting of his cabinet on Friday signalling that the turbulence over allocation of berths and portfolios is finally over and it's time to get down to the nitty-gritty of governance.   There are crucial decisions waiting to be made including shaping the state Budget which will be presented in the first week of July.

Bengaluru is groaning under a load of woes with pothole ridden roads, power shortages and stinking garbage as well as connectivity and traffic jams being the other pressing issues that need to be addressed urgently The coalition is still grappling with the common minimum programme which will decide its future schemes.  The much touted farm loan waiver is yet to take off.  The months ahead will prove if Mr Kumaraswamy has the wherewithal to carry the coalition forward and keep the BJP at bay.
