Mahmood Ali visits Dargah Yousufain before beginning new job

Hyderabad: Home minister Mahmood Ali visited Dargah Yousufain for invocation and paid floral tributes before assuming charge as home minister.

Mr Mahmood Ali told mediapersons he came to the dargah for thansgiving as his wish had been fulfilled and the TRS had emerged as a strong regional party.

“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is a great leader, no one is like him in the country. He is working as a messiah and godfather to the poor,” he said.  

Mr Mahmood Ali said the CM had worked for development of the state and welfare of the people belonging to all sections of society and the people had therefore reposed trust in him.

“He nominated dynamic youth leader K.T. Rama Rao as working president of the party, who will serve the state with more enthusiasm,” he said.

On his plans as home minister Mr Mahmood Ali said the police would ensure that justice is done to the people. He praised the functioning of the She Teams and said protection of women was society's responsibility.

“The motto of the police is to ensure peace and tranquillity and to maintain law and order, he said adding helping oppressed people was the responsibility of the police.
