Hyderabad: The future of the two-day-old Telangana Rebel Front is in doubt.
Front leader Boda Janardhan of the Congress, who took the initiative to form the rebel alliance, filed his nomination papers on Monday as a Bahujana Left Front (BLF) candidate from the Chennur Assembly constituency in Manchiryal district.

When asked by this newspaper about the Rebels Front, Mr Janardhan, a former minister, was evasive saying he was busy with filing his nomination papers and would speak later.

About 50 Congress leaders including rebel candidates met the AICC committee formed to pacify rebels on Sunday and on Monday morning. The Committee convinced them that they would be given due recognition after the Congress came to power.

The panel told them due to the alliance and social equations, the party was not able to give them tickets. TPCC leaders hoped that a majority of the rebel candidates may withdraw their nominations after being convinced by the AICC committee.
