HYDERABAD: The CPI and the CPM, which sent a proposal to the BRS leadership seeking five seats each to contest the ensuing Assembly polls as part of an electoral understanding, are likely to go it alone, this time around.

CPI state secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao said that they were still waiting for a response from the ruling party.

“We will wait till they release the first list of candidates. We will take a call thereafter on going it alone in many seats,” he said.

Reportedly, the BRS is willing to give one seat each to the two left parties. They had a political alliance with the Left parties in the Munugode byelections.
