Nine TRS student wing activists nabbed for ransacking BJP MP’s house

HYDERABAD: Banjara Hills police on Saturday arrested nine activists of the student wing of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and booked cases against them for attacking security guards and vandalizing the residence of Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind.

The activists were booked for vandalising the BJP leader’s house in Banjara Hills on Friday. The attack occurred following Arvind’s alleged remarks that the MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha was unhappy with her father and wanted to join the Congress, police said.

According to Banjara Hills inspector M. Narrender, the accused activists included Swamy Yadav, Swamy, Ram Yadav, M. Govardhan Reddy, Sai Kumar and four others.

“We booked non-bailable cases and produced them before the court”, Narender said.
