One lakh people to attend Jagan's public meeting in Machilipatnam

VIJAYAWADA: Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh said on Friday that officials officials were making elaborate arrangements for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s programmes in Machilipatnam on May 22.

He reviewed the arrangements along with MLA Perni Venkatramaiah,  Pamarru MLA Kaile Anil, district collector Raja Babu and SP P. Joshuva at the Collectorate in Machilipatnam.

Jagan Mohan Reddy would formally launch the Machilipatnam port works by performing Bhumi Puja. Over one lakh people were expected for the CM’s meeting. Sufficient ORS, buttermilk packets and drinking water facilities are being arranged for the public. There would be makeshift medical camps at the meeting premises.

Collector Raja said the CM would reach the Tapisapudi helipad at 9am, later perform Bhumi Puja for the port works and unveil a pylon and then reach the Scouts and Guide grounds for the public meeting.

MLA Perni Nani said passes would be issued to VVIPs and VIPs, who should reach the venue of the public meeting by 8.30 am.
