Poll notification for Chittoor issued

For Chittoor Parliament constituency, the collector is the returning officer and will accept nominations in his chamber.

Tirupati: Chittoor district collector and electoral officer P.S. Pradyumna on Monday released the election notification for Chittoor, Tirupati and Rajampeta Parliament beside 14 Assembly constituencies in the district.

The electoral officer announced that the nominations for the Parliament and Assembly constituencies will be received from Monday till March 25 on all working days between 11 am and 3 pm. On March 26, the nominations will be verified and the candidates can withdraw them up to March 28.

For Chittoor Parliament constituency, the collector is the returning officer and will accept nominations in his chamber. For the Rajampeta and Tirupati Parliament constituencies, the nominations will be received by the RO and Chittoor joint collector P.S. Girisha and Nellore joint collector Vetri Selvi in their chambers respectively.

For Assembly constituencies like Tiru-pati, Chandragiri, Sri-kalahasthi, Chittoor, Madanapalle, Thamba-lapalli, Punganur, Piler, Satyavedu, Puthala-pattu, Kuppam, Pala-maner, G.D. Nellore and Nagari, the nominations will be received at the sub-collector/RDO office and tahsildar offices of the respective constituency headquarters.

As on Monday, however, no candidate had  filed the nominations for either the three Parliament or for the 14 Assembly constituencies in the region.
