VIJAYAWADA: State minister Venkateswara Rao alias Nani alleged on Sunday that Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu had fooled the Dwcra groups after coming to power in 2014. The minister was chief guest of YSR Aasara celebrations organised at Gollapudi in the city on Sunday.

Nani alleged that Naidu cheated the Dwcra groups by promising them to clear their debts during the 2014 election campaign. But, after coming to power, Naidu diverted the funds allocated for Dwcra groups for other purposes.

“YSRC is the only strong party with a mass appeal in the state now, and you find only YSRC flags in Mylavaram or Gudivada and across the state,” he claimed.

Nani said that as promised by chief minister Jagan, the debts of Dwcra groups are being cleared in four tranches.

MLAs VK Prasad and Jogi Ramesh, YSRC leader Raghuram, MLC Kalpalatha Reddy, district collector Nivas, joint collectors Madhavilatha and Sivasankar were among those present.
