Bengaluru: State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa said the Indian government will give a befitting reply at the right time to the perpetrators of the Pulwama attack in which 44 CRPF soldiers were martyred.

Speaking at a condolence meeting held here on Sunday, he said the BJP led NDA government will definitely avenge the killing of CRPF jawans. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan and is trying to impress on other countries the impose an economic blockade on the neighbouring country which has become a breeding ground for terrorists.

Mr Arvind Limbavali, MLA and Mr N Ravikumar, MLC said Pakistan would have to pay a heavy price if it continued to support terrorists and terror organisations. Udupi-Chikkamagaluru BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje accused the Congress party of having failed to take firm action against Pakistan in the last 50 years when it ruled the country. Soldiers were doing their duty without being provided basic facilities during the previous ten-year rule of the Congress led UPA government, she accused.

It is the NDA government led by Prime Minister Modi which provided night vision binoculars and latest weapons to enable the defence forces take action against Pak-based infiltrators. It is unfortunate that the so-called intellectuals, instead of backing the government in this hour of crisis, were indirectly supporting Pakistan.

With incidents of pro-Pakistan slogans being raised and the attack on CRPF soldiers being celebrated,  reported from different parts of the state, Home Minister M B Patil must direct officers to take action against such anti-national forces, she added.
