HYDERABAD: Even as Dundigal police are investigating the case against BJP Telangana chief and MP Bandi Sanjay's son Sai Bhagirath for assaulting a classmate, another video showing Bhagirath and a few other boys assaulting the victim, has surfaced.

While Sanjay claimed that police slapped non-bailable charges against his son, police clarified that all charges in the case are bailable.

Meanwhile, accompanied by Adv. K. Karunasagar, Bhagirath came to Dundigal PS and assured that he would cooperate with the investigation.

The first video that surfaced on Tuesday showed Bhagirath and his friends assaulting the victim and abusing him using vulgar language in an area which
is said to be one of the hostel corridors in Mahindra University at Bahadurpally on the city outskirts.

The second video that surfaced on Wednesday shows Bhagirath and his friends
assaulting the victim in a room, which is said to be one of the hostel rooms on the University campus.

Police said they are in the process of investigating; gathering evidence from the college management and other sources and would accordingly summon Bhagirath and other students.

They also confirmed that since sections 341, 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC charged against Bhagirath and his friends are under the category of punishment below seven years, they are all bailable. Based on the evidence, notices would be served to those involved, they added.
