Hyderabad: Caretaker Chief Minister and TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao lashed out at his AP Counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu. KCR said that Naidu has become “sani” to Andhra people who had settled in Telangana.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he said that TD candidates would not even get back their deposits in the upcoming elections. Criticising Naidu, Mr Rao said, “Are you not ashamed by indulging in cash for votes?”

Mr Rao made it clear that the comments he made about Chandrababu Naidu should not be taken as a reflection of Andhra people. After Naidu left Telangana, there was no more land grabbing, no gambling and no more playing card clubs in Telangana.

Mr Rao said that he had said several times said that those who resided in Telangana were all Telanganaites. Speaking to Andhra people residing in TS, he said, “If anyone asks, tell them you are all Telanganaites and don’t say you are Andhras. You are respectable citizens of Telangana.”

He said, “In the GHMC elections TRS had given 10 tickets to Andhra people who settled here and all 10 had won.  In the upcoming Assembly elections also, TRS has given seven to eight tickets to Andhra people who settled here, we have no difference among Telanganaites and Andhra people who settled here.” Mr Rao said that, “Unnecessarily AP CM Naidu is creating differences among the Telangana people.”

He alleged that every day there was a law and order problem in AP whereas, in TS , there was no such problem. He said that after the GHMC elections, TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy commented “Andhras did not vote for Congress, but we never commented like that.”
