Karimnagar: The Congress will win 13 Assembly segments and form the government after winning over 100 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana state, Congress leader Kotha Jaypal Reddy said on Sunday. He was speaking after inaugurating a rally with over 50 buses and 80 cars to the Tukkuguda Congress meeting, from Karimnagar.

Thousands of Congress leaders and activists in Karimnagar Assembly segment raised pro-Congress slogans as they left for Tukkuguda.

After paying tributes to the Telangana Martyrs’ statue, Jaypal Reddy said that while Sonia Gandhi, after understanding the problems of the people of Telangana state and the sacrifices made by youth, assented to statehood, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had betrayed all sections of people with his hollow promises.

While nearly 1,100 people sacrificed their lives during the fight for statehood, the BRS government only identified 290 of them. “After Congress wins in Telangana state under the leadership of TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, the party will help the families of all who sacrificed their lives,” Jaypal Reddy said.

“BRS leaders are under fear owing to the massive response people are giving the Congress. After Sonia Gandhi declares the six guarantees, the BRS government will tremble,” he claimed. “People are not going to believe the BRS even though it plays gimmicks and makes conspiracies, joining hands with the BJP against the Congress. The Congress wave is not just only in the state but across the country,” the Congress leader added.
