Mangaluru: The Congress leaders of  Karnataka are confident of the party's victory in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections. The anti-incumbency sentiment, successful implementation of the guarantee schemes and the achievements of the Karnataka government over the past five months will be instrumental in propelling the Congress to victory in the Telangana Assembly elections, according to Karnataka leaders.

Many of the party leaders have already launched campaigning in Telangana and actively engaging with the electorate. More leaders are slated to join the campaign, further intensifying the party's outreach.

The Congress leaders exude confidence in their ability to showcase the 'Karnataka Model' in the upcoming Assembly elections in five states, particularly in neighboring Telangana.

KPCC working president Saleem Ahmed, who previously held the position of AICC secretary in charge of Telangana during the last election is confident that Congress is poised for victory in Telangana.

"People are disillusioned with the KCR government. All sections of the society are aligning with Congress and the minority community is dissatisfied with unfulfilled promises. Coupled with the prevailing anti-incumbency sentiment, the Pro-Congress wave and the Congress government's achievements in Karnataka will pave the way for party's victory in Telangana." Saleem Ahmed told Deccan Chronicle.

"Congress has announced six guarantee schemes in Telangana. Karnataka and Telangana share a close connection. People of Telangana have witnessed the effective implementation of guarantee schemes in Karnataka, such as Gruha Jyoti, Gruha Laxmi, Shakti, and Anna Bhagya. This has instilled confidence in them, as they believe that the Congress will fulfill its promises. Residents of Karnataka reaping the benefits of the guarantees have significantly bolstered their confidence," he added.

"In Telangana, the party campaigning underscores not only the promise of future achievements but also the tangible progress realized there," he added.

Echoing a similar sentiment, IT-BT and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge said, "The successes in Karnataka are poised to create a ripple effect in Telangana," he added.
