HYDERABAD: Asserting that Congress would retain Munugode seat, former PCC chief N.Uttam Kumar Reddy urged party workers in Choutuppal mandal to work for the party’s victory with zest. The party in-charge for Choutuppal referred to the rich history of the area and recalled the armed struggle in Munugode constituency.

Describing the people of Munugode as politically conscious, urged them to cast their votes judiciously in the upcoming byelections. Speaking to media persons, Reddy said that neither TRS nor BJP was in a position to face the people due to the long list of failed promises. "Whenever any TRS or BJP leader enters your area asks him about their failure to control rising prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities. Question them about the undelivered 2BHK units, unemployment allowance, scholarships, fee reimbursement and the status of other promises,” he said. Reddy attended the Suryapet district ZP general body meeting.
