Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinnarajappa said those who held party posts at the village to the district and state levels and other nominated posts should attend all party meetings.

If any of those who were found to skip the scheduled party meetings for three consecutive times, they would be removed from the posts, he said at the swearing in ceremony of the new TD district urban committee here on Friday.

He reminded them that their party meeting attendance and their performances were being closely monitored at the highest level of the party.

“These posts were not just for identity, but for commitment and sincerity to the party and the state’s development,” he said.

Minister for roads and buildings Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu told those who held party posts that “If you do not come to party meetings, why hold the posts.”

The meeting saw Mr Patrudu and HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao sharing lighter moments with each other, despite the reported undercurrent of strained relations between the two over the land scandal.
