Karimnagar: The BRS worried that it would lose power after the Assembly elections, so it exerted pressure on the Election Commission of India (ECI) to cancel the advertisements of the Congress on purpose, said Meneni Rohith Rao, the spokesperson of the TPCC, in a press conference held at Indira Bhavan in Karimnagar on Monday.

The Congress leader said that the BRS has not taken any action against the BJP despite adverts like ‘Salu Dora Seluvu Dora’ that were launched by the BJP against the BRS spreading on social media platforms and in various media channels. Because the BRS leaders know that nothing will happen with the BJP. However, the BRS government pressed the ECI to ban the advertisements produced by the Congress, despite the fact that the names of either the BRS or Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao were not mentioned in the advertisements, which concentrated solely on the failure of government projects.

He requested the ECI not to cancel the commercials produced by the Congress and to grant authorisation for the advertisements that had previously been canceled.

Congress is the only party that will fight for public issues and the weakest sections of the population. He promised that after assuming the government, the Congress would successfully implement the six promises throughout the state. Among those present were Congress leaders Samad Nawab, Abdul Rehaman, G.Srinivas, L.Babu, K.Poshaiah, S.Naga Prasad, K.Ram Reddy, P.Swamy Goud, Akhil, and Ameer.
