Vijayawada: Elated by Saturday’s verdict in Karnataka, Congress leaders and cadre celebrated the occasion on an overwhelming note in the state party office here on Saturday. They said that the remarkable showing would be the springboard to regain lost glory in Andhra Pradesh and at the Centre.

APCC president Gidugu Rudra Raju said that the welfare schemes offered by them worked well in Karnataka as the people everywhere trust the Congress when it comes to implementing poll promises and following the development agenda. He, along with working president Sunkara Padmasri and others burst crackers and distributed sweets on the occasion.

Rudra Raju said that Karnataka elections were the semifinals ahead of the General Election, where they will score an encore with a landslide. “Rahul Gandhi will be the next Prime Minister,” he said.

Congress’s Vijayawada city president Naraharasetti Narasimha Rao, Krishna district president Lam Tantia Kumari and leaders Kolanukonda Sivaji, A. Gurunadham, P.Y. Kiran and Meesala Rajeswara Rao were present.
