HYDERABAD: RTC workers, who were in the forefront of the struggle for Telangana statehood, have been thoroughly let down by the BRS government, which has failed to fulfill its 2019 promises to the corporation employees, said former MP Ponnam Prabhakar.
Reeling out the promises made to RTC workers like special facilities for women workers in depots, fee reimbursement for their families, free health care for parents, `one lakh bonus payment and creation of another 10,000 jobs, Prabhakar, in an open letter to Chief Minister, said that it was Congress and other parties that had stood by the workers during the strike.
The state government should reveal how many of the vacant posts have been filled in the RTC in the last nine years, Prabhakar said.
