Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and Opposition leader in the Assembly B.S. Yeddyurappa has condemned the allegation made by former CM Siddaramaiah who had claimed that BJP leaders offered Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore to Congress MLAs to garner their support soon after the Assembly elections results were announced.

Mr. Yeddyurappa criticized the former CM saying, “Siddaramaiah has given a vague and childish statement accusing BJP leaders.  Being a senior leader of the Congress, he should not given such a statement which lowers the prestige of the post he  held. Where was his self-esteem when the Congress  joined hands with former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and his son, Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy to form the coalition government?” he wondered.

Mr. Yeddyurappa also took strong exception to the statement of Mr Siddaramaiah blaming Chamundeshwari constituency voters for defeating him after taking money and liquor from his rival. This statement shows that  Mr. Siddaramaiah has no respect for democracy and the people’s mandate, Mr. Yeddyurappa remarked.
