Hyderabad: Makers of the controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’ will be attending state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s ‘Hindu Ekta Yatra’ on Sunday. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the party’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh have confirmed their presence.

The yatra, according to Sanjay, is an effort to unite Hindus irrespective of political affiliations.

‘The Kerala Story’ director Sudipto Sen and producer Vipur Amritlal Shah are expected to attend along with other unit members, a statement from Sanjay’s office said here on Friday.

“This year we expect a turnout of at least one lakh people, as they will be coming from regions beyond Karimnagar,” Sanjay said, adding that the yatra will show to the fake secularists that all Hindus are united.

Recalling past terror incidents in Karimnagar district, including bomb blasts in Jagtial, Korutla and Karimnagar bus stands, he said “several families went through trauma after their daughters were trapped under the guise of ‘love jihad’. The present government is giving in to vote-bank politics and supporting AIMIM and following its diktat.”
