Adilabad: Efforts to include all names in voters list

The effort is to avoid a repeat of the Assembly elections where a large number of voters names were missing from the voters list.

People can cast their votes in the general elections as usual. The board further clarified that the deletion would not affect the development works in those areas.

Adilabad: The Adilabad district administration is making all efforts to see that no voter names is missed from the voters list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.    

Speaking to the media on Monday, district election officer and collector Divya Devarajan said that officials are visiting households in Adilabad town and collecting details of voters including EPIC number.

The effort is to avoid a repeat of the Assembly elections where a large number of voters names were missing from the voters list.

Ms Divya said that there would be no problems about names missing from the voters list in rural areas, since  the panchayat elections have recently got over and the administration did not face any such issues.

The collector said that they were focusing on Utnoor and Adilabad town to ensure all voters get their names included in the three-day time period given to register their names. She hoped that in the Lok Sabha elections, no voter would find their names missing from the lists.

There are total 14,78,662 voters in the  seven Assembly constituencies Sirpur, Asifabad, Khanapur, Adilalad, Boath, Nirmal and Mudhole that are comes under Adilabad Parliamentary segment.
