Krishnaiah seeks support of Akhilesh Yadav for BC quota Bill

Hyderabad: Seeking support for a Bill to give 50 per cent reservation for the Backward Classes communities in law-making bodies, BC Association leader and AP parliamentarian R. Krishnaiah met Uttar Pradesh former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Saturday evening.

Krishnaiah, a YSRC Rajya Sabha member from AP, who has been batting for 50 per cent  reservation for BC communities based on their population ratio, called on Akhilesh Yadav along with YSRC MP B. Masthan Rao in Lucknow and urged him to extend his support to the cause.

Krishnaiah in a statement said the meeting was fruitful as Akhilesh Yadav had assured support for the Bill. He also assured that he would be speaking to leaders of various political parties including the RJD, BRS, DMK and the JD (U) as it was an important matter of concern related to the uplift of BC communities.
