Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Gets Dasara Invite

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was given an invitation to take-part in Mysuru Dasara festivities by a delegation led by Minister for Social Welfare Dr H.C. Mahadevappa, in Bengaluru.

BENGALURU: A delegation from Mysuru led by district incharge and Minister for Social Welfare Dr H.C. Mahadevappa on Wednesday invited Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take-part in 10-day Mysuru Dasara festivities scheduled to be inaugurated on October 15 atop Chamundi Hill in Mysuru.

The Dasara festivities will be inaugurated by renowned songwriter Hamslekha. The delegation met the CM at his residence in Bengaluru and honoured with a shawl and garlanded him while extending an invitation for Dasara festivities.

Mysuru is the native place of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and represents Varuna Assembly seat in Mysuru. Responding to the invitation, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah recalled that he used to catch glimpses of Dasara festivities particularly jumbo savari, the elephant procession mounted on the shoulders of his father when he was a child.

“I am fortunate enough to participate in Dasara festivities for the second term as a Chief Minister,” said Siddaramaiah after receiving the invitation. He assured the delegation to participate in the Dasara festivities.

In the delegation, Deputy Commissioner Rajendra, Mayor Shivakumar, MLAs Ravishankar and A.R. Krishnamurthy, Commissioner of Police Ramesh Banot among others.
