TIRUPATI: Jana Sena’s Nellore district general secretary Gunukula Kishore lashed out at former minister Dr P. Anil Kumar Yadav for his unwarranted comments against Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.

He also accused the YSR Congress (YSRC) government of creating obstacles for Pawan Kalyan on his way to attend a Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting at the Jana Sena office in Mangalagiri.

Addressing the media in Nellore on Sunday, Kishore clarified that Pawan Kalyan had pointed out the state government’s procedure for arrest and had not expressed support for any particular individual. He alleged that the YSRC government was resorting to house arrest and other tactics to silence the opposition leaders who were critical of their policies.

The Jana Sena leader accused former minister Anil of consistently making baseless comments against Jana Sena and failing to focus on the development of his constituency. He highlighted the concerns of the residents of Harijanawada in the ninth division of Nellore city, who had questioned Anil’s failure to address their issues during his visit to the area.

Kishore raised specific issues, saying, “Public utility areas were removed at the Gandhi statue circle, and we are not aware of what the city MLA plans to do in that place.” What about the promise of developing the Kabadipalem area with Rs  7 crore? He further suggested that the city MLA should consider relocating to another constituency in the upcoming elections, given his perceived inaction during his tenure.

Further, Kishore brought attention to alleged corruption activities involving Kovur MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy during their visit to sand reaches in the constituency. He claimed that the Jana Sena leaders had exposed several instances of corruption and mismanagement. "However, this activism resulted in legal action, with the police filing multiple cases against the Jana Sena leaders for their visits to the sand reaches in the Kovur segment", he added.

The Jana Sena leader warned that the people would "teach a lesson" to the ruling YSRC in the forthcoming elections, indicating the growing discontent and frustration among opposition parties and their supporters.
