Indrasena says BRS, Congress longtime allies
HYDERABAD: The BJP on Sunday dismissed the allegation that it was in cahoots with the BRS, and said the Congress and its state unit president A. Revanth Reddy, which had made the charge, were “even worse than KCR when it comes to lying.”
N. Indrasena Reddy, BJP national executive member, told reporters that the Congress and the BRS had electoral understandings for years. “It is only the BJP which never had any sort of a tie-up with the BRS,” he said.
He cited the lack of progress in the cash-for-vote case against Revanth Reddy as proof of his charge.
He also trashed the Congress allegation that it was because of the alleged BJP-BRS ties that the Congress had not got the Parade Ground as the venue for its September 17 public meeting. He claimed that Congress had never applied for use of the venue.
