VIJAYAWADA: Municipal administration minister Botsa Satyanarayana has claimed that people have overwhelmingly supported YSR Congress government in the first phase of gram panchayat elections by electing candidates owing allegiance to YSRC for the posts of sarpanch and ward members.

Refuting claims of Chandrababu Naidu about Telugu Desam winning majority seats in the first phase, the minister ridiculed that it is only Naidu who can utter such plain lies. Satyanarayana declared that they are ready to prove their claim of winning 82 percent seats in the first phase elections.

The minister accused Chandrababu Naidu of distorting facts, observing that Naidu was fudging numbers as he was unable to digest his party’s massive defeat.
