HYDERABAD: Dharani portal should be up and ready within a week’s time, ordered Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao addressing a meeting of district collectors and ministers at the Pragathi Bhavan on Monday. Whatever changes necessary, including additions to the portal, must be completed within this time, the CM underlined Government advisers, secretaries and heads of departments also participated in the meeting.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that Dharani will make sale and purchase of lands 100 per cent transparent. In this regard, he wanted officials to make sale and purchase of agriculture lands more flexible by carrying out within a week necessary modifications in the Dharani.

Rao said: “Make the Dharani portal more user-friendly. Create a facility for NRIs to register lands based on their passport number. Modify Dharani in such way that companies and societies should be able to get passbooks for lands that they purchase. Earlier, details of those who did not provide their Aadhaar numbers had not been uploaded in Dharani. Give them one more chance to do so,” he stated.

The Chief Minister asked district collectors to solve all disputes with regard to transfer of lands in agency areas within a month. “Create a facility on Dharani for those who book the slot to cancel or reschedule their slots. The list of prohibited lands should be updated regularly. Make changes as per the court verdicts. Put the land collected by the government from farmers under the Prohibited List. Solve all issues under Part B except those involved in legal litigation. District collectors should examine the applications for regularisation of Sada Bainamas and resolve them. Allow on the portal a facility to register GPA, SPA and AGPA. Collectors should personally take care of these aspects without leaving the task to their subordinates,” the CM underlined.

Rao further asked district collectors to personally take initiative in solving all issues pertaining to the Revenue Department. He asked officials to invite fresh applications for pending mutations and same the same should also be completed within a week, he said.

The CM pointed out that before formation of Telangana state, maintenance of revenue records was in chaos, leading to litigations and clashes among people. Dharani Portal will put an end to all these, he maintained.
