Kochi: If payment for the chopper ride undertaken by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was made from the State Disaster Relief Fund without his office’s knowledge what is the need for such an office, asked Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala.

While addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he alleged that the Chief Minister’s office was in the dark over important matters including transfer of senior IPS officers.  “The Chief Minister had said that he did not know about the transfer of Satheesh Bino, SP, Pathanamthitta and his wife Ajitha Beegum, Kollam city police commissioner. How can transfer orders of IPS officers be issued without his sign? Whether someone else is deputed for that or are such important matters being decided without the knowledge and consent of the CM?” he wondered.
