Vijayawada: In a surprising act, Telugu Desam leader Akula Venkateswara Rao could be seen distributing sweets near the Vijayawada court complex on Saturday following the arrest of Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
This turned heads of many TD leaders as well as police. Policemen acted swiftly and shifted Venkateswara Rao from the spot.
Before being removed, the TD leader could be heard saying that whenever party leaders or cadres had been in pain, the Telugu Desam president did not respond. "Now, Chandrababu is facing the same situation, which is his karma," Venkateswara Rao remarked.
Incidentally, the leader had recently accused Nara Lokesh of conspiring to kill him. He alleged that he had lost 400 yards of his land in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad after it got forcibly occupied by Chandrababu Naidu's man K.L. Narayana.
Venkateswara Rao said he had several times sought justice from Naidu in the matter, but the latter remained unresponsive.
