Kamareddy: Congress senior leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir alleged that no one was happy under the BRS regime except for the family of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, his ministers, BRS MLAs and ruling party leaders.

Speaking at an event where hundreds of BRS workers from Bibipet in Kamareddy constituency joined the Congress, Shabbir Ali said the Chandrashekar Rao government was not an example of good governance but of family rule.

Shabbir Ali ridiculed the government for celebrating the tenth state formation day, asking questioning whether they were celebrating the transformation of a state with a surplus Budget into one burdened by '5 lakh crore debt. “Every section is dissatisfied with the ruling party,” he said.

The former minister criticized the permission granted for liquor belt shops in every village, leading to increased alcohol consumption among the youth. He said that the poor were spending their earning on liquor instead of addressing the family’s needs.

Shabbir Ali stated that the Congress was poised to win the upcoming Assembly elections and, after coming to power, would put behind bars those who have made the people suffer.
